JAKE GARDINER #51 TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS DEFENCEMAN BECOMES CELEBRITY AMBASSADOR FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS ONTARIO

Special Olympics Ontario is pleased to announce that Jake Gardiner (#51), Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman will be the Celebrity Ambassador for the charity. Jake is no stranger to the Special Olympics movement. He and his family were actively engaged with Special Olympics in Minnesota. We are excited to have Jake a part of the Special Olympics family here in Ontario.

On Monday, September 9th, 2013 Jake was joined by members of the High 5 Program – a club exclusively for registered athletes of Special Olympics Ontario. Jake is excited about his involvement with the movement here in Ontario and will be involved in a number of engagements and activities over time.

Attention Athletes:

Don’t forget to sign up for the High 5 Club today! This way we can connect with you about special events, speaking engagements, campaigns and other opportunities to promote the movement – we can’t do it without you!

Join us in thanking Jake … follow him on Twitter at jgardiner272 for the latest news!

Special Olympics Ontario, along with the Royal Bank of Canada, are proud to launch this new interactive site. We extend sincere thanks to the Royal Bank for their financial support. Their belief in the importance of this initiative is greatly appreciated.

Welcome athletes! We look forward to you joining the High 5 Club as a member and being further involved with the organization. Remember to help us to spread the word: tell your fellow athletes about the High 5 Club and encourage them to sign up too!
